Thousands of girls and women who have survived the quake are now facing the another threat from human traffickers. Tens of thousands of girls are now being targeted and human traffickers are trying to lure the victim to brothels mostly in India.</div>

According to UN and local NGOs, around 12000 to 15000 girls are trafficked each year and taken overseas to India, South Korea and as far as to South Africa as well.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Jason Burke, from the newspaper, also spoke to a woman called Sita, 20, who told how she was abducted from her home in Sindhupalchok, a village near Kathmandu last year.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
She said she was forced to have unprotected sex with up to 30 a day, every day, for a year at a brothel in India.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
She was rescued last year, was taken by an uncle “for a job” in India. Her parents, who are subsistence farmers and illiterate, believed assurances she would have a good job and be able to send back her wages.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div>
The uncle who abducted Sita was murdered by a contract killer. Her parents remain unaware of exactly what happened to her, though her brothers have found out. They have now disowned her. Victims of sexual violence are frequently ostracised in south Asia, where they are seen as having brought shame on their community.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Sita lives in a secret shelter run by Shakti Samuha. She does not know what has happened to her parents in the earthquake. For many days, communications to her remote village were cut. When she managed to get a line through to a brother, he refused to acknowledge her. “He said he had no sister and I had called a wrong number,” Sita said.</div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">During those days there was
no restriction on human skeleton business later it became very strict by the law. The police at

those who are involve in smuggling of human skulls. The smugglers people are mostly
from the country's Terai belt. The news about

collect human skulls from the pyres site and forest areas. It was not a easy

vegetables sacks and they bring them to Kathmandu market and supply to souvenir makers for
good price. It was a easy way to
earn money. </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
The tradition of worshiping Kumari dates back to 6th century. However officially the Kumari
tradition begun during 17th century. There are many evidence and
facts of how the tradition of worshiping Kumari started. Among many evidence,
the most popular one is that of Jay Prakash malla,the Last Nepalese King of
Malla Dynasty. According to legend, King was visited by Red Serpent who happens
to Goddess Durga visited him every night in his Chamber to play the Game of
Dice which is also called “Tripasa” in native Nepali Language. However, Goddess
Durga forbided the King not to tell about this meeting to anyone but King’s
wife became suspicious about the whereabouts’ of her husband during the night and
she followed him to Chamber. As she approached the chamber, she saw Goddess
Durga and her Husband both indulging in Game of Dice. As Goddess Durga found
that the King’s wife came to know about their secret meeting, she was angered
and told king that if He wants to see her again or protect his Kingdom than
from now onward she will only appear in the form of young virgin girl. Since
then the tradition of finding Goddess Durga started among the young virgin girl
and thus Kumari Tradition was established. </div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Another popular legend comes
during the reign of King Trailokya malla where Goddess Durga and King played
Dice in his chamber.However,One night King made Sexual offer to Goddess and She
was filled with rage and stopped visiting him.Filled with regret, King pleaded
Goddess to return and finally she returned but in the form of young girl from
malla dynasty.Hence, according to the legend, the tradition of worshiping Kumari was started.<br />

<b>"If a Man says he is not afraid of dying, he is either lying or he is Gurkha."</b></h2>
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Introduction</span></b><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Gurkha are originally from Nepal, who are enlisted in British army.The Name "Gurkhas" originated during Gurkha war(1814-1816) when British were defeated and impressed with the Gorkhali soldiers who at that time only fought with khukuri ( Long Knives ) but still managed to defeat highly trained and advanced British soldiers.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Gurkhas then and now are still widely known for their Loyalty, Physical strength, orderliness, courage, self sufficiency, endurance to fight persistently in the battle field with military strength, tenacity and resilience.In the past, it was tradition and as well as honor for Gurkhas to return from battle with his khukuri tasted the Blood of an enemy and if that's not the case then the owner of the khukuri must cut himself before returning to the camp.However,fortunately its not the case now.The Gurkhas are identified by Victorians as the"Martial Race" possessing masculine quality for strength and toughness.<br />

Sukracharya, the preceptor of the dead Brahmin was angry with Vishnu and cursed
him that he will be beheaded by a Brahmin in the future. After this incident, Lord Vishnu lived in
Champak (Micheli a Campaca) forest. A Brahmin named Sudarshan lived in a
village, near the forest. The Brahmin
had a cow and his cowherd brought him the milk in a bucket, the story further
says that the Brahmin could notice the diminished amount of milk being brought

bucket lost half of milk while passing through the Champak Village. To solve
the mystery, the angry Brahmin cut the Champak tree and beheaded Lord Vishnu,

<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Controversy surrounding Buddha
Boy</u></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Abstaining oneself from worldly
pleasure and indulging into meditation for such a longer period of time, where
one’s mind and soul is purely devoted to peace and harmony as well as striving
to achieve spiritual wisdom, Ram Bahadur Bomjon quite well live up to his
promise in spreading peace. However, the irony is that since few years he has
been in media but for all the wrong reasons.<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
In the year 2010, Ram Bahadur
Bomjon aka Buddha Boy with his followers thrashed 17 local villagers of Bara
District and held them captive nearly for 24 hours as they were accused of
disturbing His meditation. Again in the year 2012, Bomjon held two women (35
year old Slovakian woman and another Nepali Woman) hostage for 3 months. They
were accused by his followers for practicing witchcraft to disrupt Bomjon’s
meditation. Later when the news were published in media regarding the hostages
of two women, his followers set them free but threatened not to disclose
anything to media or to people during their 3 months detention. However, the
freed 44 year old Slovakian woman Zsuzsanna Takacs still admires Bomjon even
she was held captive for 3 months. She expressed that she wanted to become nun
and devote herself in Buddhism as there are no monasteries in her country.</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
The violence not only stop there
but again with followers of Bodhi Shrawan Dharma Sangh obstructed vehicular
movement and clashed with local people of Bara district for not issuing
Bomjan’s citizenship in the name of “Bodhi Shrawan Dharma Sangh” which is
against the law. However the members of the group managed to issue fake
citizenship certificate but later it was cancelled after legal authority found
out this incident. After this event, he held his 12 year old sister Ranjita as
hostage after his mother Mayadevi did not allow him and his followers to hand
out her citizenship card to them which was necessary to issue Bomjon’s
citizenship and diplomatic passport. Following the incident, Bomjon’s mother
sent her two sons to free their younger sister, but again the members of Bodhi
Shrawan Dharma Sangh detained both of the brothers. However all the three
siblings were released later after the request from their mother Mayadevi.</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
All such terror and violence has
not only led to tarnish the image of Buddhism but also raises the question of
does Bomjon deserves to be called ”Buddha boy” and messenger of peace?<br />
<br />
“But the world is submerged in its own selfish
aim and nobody could keep the search of soul and the super soul in their heart.
Today the world is in search of non violence and guidance in the form of
kindness.”- These are some of the preaching of Bomjon but seems like one also
needs to understand the simple fact that “Practice what you preach”.<br />
